Emilie, Hospital Manager
Emilie is the Hospital Manager at Springtown Veterinary Hospital and has been with us since September 2006. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Business Administration from Texas State University. She is also a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager.
"Working at Springtown is by far the best job I've ever had. Not only do I get to work with animals, but I also get to work with some amazing doctors and staff members. I think of Springtown as my second home!"
At home, Emilie has a mini dachshund named Rita, a dachshund mix named Eleanor Rigby, a chihuahua mix named Julia, and a gray tabby named Olive. Emilie's interests include traveling, vegan baking, biking, and kayaking.
Katie, Client Relations and Tech Assistant
Katie joined our team in September 2016. She studied Nutrition at Blinn college for two years and is working toward a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science at Texas State University.
"My mom was a dog trainer when I was growing up, so I was constantly surrounded by dogs and loved every minute of it!"
In her free time, Katie enjoys hiking with her doberman, Dozer, and teaching yoga.
Kenna, Client Relations
Kenna joined our team in October 2017. She has four years experience in the veterinary field and previously attended college for International Studies and Japanese.
At home, Kenna has three cats, Nina, Bee, and Bubbles. She enjoys watching movies, playing video games, knitting, and puzzles.
Veronica, Veterinary Technician
Veronica is a Veterinary Technician with an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She has been a part of Springtown Veterinary Hospital since 2007. Veronica is our head surgery technician.
"I trust all the doctors that work at this hospital," says Veronica. "My bosses couldn't be any better to us. We are a family, and we treat our clients and patients like they are family, too."
She spends her spare time hiking, playing with her beagle, Winston, and Border Collie mix, Monty, swimming in the river, traveling, and singing.
Rebekah, Veterinary Technician
Rebekah earned a Bachelor's of Science in Animal Science from Texas State University. She has four years experience in the veterinary field and currently alternates between surgical tech and exam room tech.
In her spare time, Rebekah enjoys making jewelry and taking care of her many pets. Her family includes Scarlet, a German Shepard mix, Droopy, a Catahoula mix, Itty Bitty, a chihuahua, Fearless Kitty, a DSH, Kirby, a DLH, Mozart, a bearded dragon, three chickens, and multiple fish in a saltwater coral tank.
Kara, Veterinary Technician
Kara is currently working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology at Texas State University and plans to attend veterinary school in the future. She has always been in a home with pets and started loving animals at a young age.
"I love working at Springtown because I get to fulfill my life passion of working with animals and I get to help make a difference every day. I also love having coworkers that are just as passionate about the care of animals as I am. My coworkers inspire me every day with their vast knowledge of pets and their desire to help in any way possible."
In her free time, Kara enjoys hiking, swimming in the river, and taking photos. She also loves hanging out with her dog, Scout, who just so happens to also love hiking, swimming in the river, and getting his picture taken.
Jennifer, Veterinary Technician
Jenn has 10 years of experience in the veterinary field and joined our team in February 2018 after working in an emergency veterinary hospital. She has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Women's and Gender Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
At home, Jenn has a Border Collie/GSD mix, Adelaide, and a one-eyed DSH, Hank. She enjoys aerial hoop, making paper flowers, and clicker training her pets to do fun tricks.
Andrea, Technician Assistant
Andrea assists the doctors and technicians in surgery and exam rooms. She is working toward a Bachelor's in Animal Science. Andrea has extensive experience working with animals, including volunteering at shelters and working at a boarding facility.
At home, Andrea has Paisley, a chihuahua mix , Presley, a Jack Russell mix, and Brynnley, a German Shepard mix. She enjoys hiking, canoeing, biking, cooking, and reading.
Atessa, Technician Assistant
Atessa assists our technicians and doctors in caring for our patients. She has an Bachelor's in Wildlife Biology from Texas State University and plans to attend veterinary school in the future. Atessa also volunteers at the New Braunfels Humane Society.
In her spare time, Atessa enjoys reading, cooking, kayaking, and fishing. She has a Kelpie mix, Luke, and a Tonkinese cat, Momo.
Rayanna, Kennel Technician
Rayanna cares for all of our boarding and hospitalized patients. She is currently studying Animal Science at Texas State University with plans to attend veterinary school.
At home, Rayanna has two dogs, Joey and Yoshi.
Candace, Kennel Technician
Candace cares for all of our boarding and hospitalized patients. She is currently studying Animal Science at Texas State University with plans to attend veterinary school.
In her spare time, Candace enjoys hiking, going to the river, and spending time with family and friends. She has an Australian Shepherd, Opal.
