Emilie, Hospital Manager
Emilie has been the Hospital Manager at Springtown Veterinary Hospital since 2011. She started at our hospital as a kennel technician in September 2006 and later worked as a technician and receptionist before transitioning to manager. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Business Administration from Texas State University. She is also a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager.
At home, Emilie has a mini dachshund named Rita, a dachshund mix named Eleanor Rigby, a chihuahua mix named Julia, and a gray tabby named Olive. Emilie's interests include traveling, vegan baking, biking, and kayaking.
Katie, Client Relations and Tech Assistant
Katie joined our team in September 2016. She studied Nutrition at Blinn college for two years and is working toward a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science at Texas State University.
In her free time, Katie enjoys hiking with her doberman, Dozer, and teaching yoga.
Kenna, Client Relations
Kenna joined our team in October 2017. She has four years experience in the veterinary field and previously attended college for International Studies and Japanese.
At home, Kenna has three cats, Nina, Bee, and Bubbles. She enjoys watching movies, playing video games, knitting, and puzzles.
Veronica, Veterinary Technician
Veronica is a Veterinary Technician with an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She has been a part of Springtown Veterinary Hospital since 2007. Veronica is our head surgery technician.
She spends her spare time hiking, playing with her beagle, Winston, and Border Collie mix, Monty, swimming in the river, traveling, and singing.
Rebekah, Veterinary Technician
Rebekah joined our team in 2017. She earned a Bachelor's of Science in Animal Science from Texas State University. She has four years experience in the veterinary field and currently alternates between surgical tech and exam room tech.
In her spare time, Rebekah enjoys making jewelry and taking care of her many pets. Her family includes Scarlet, a German Shepard mix, Droopy, a Catahoula mix, Itty Bitty, a chihuahua, Fearless Kitty, a DSH, Kirby, a DLH, Mozart, a bearded dragon, three chickens, and multiple fish in a saltwater coral tank.
Kara, Veterinary Technician
Kara joined our team in 2016. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology from Texas State University and plans to attend veterinary school in the future. She has always been in a home with pets and started loving animals at a young age.
In her free time, Kara enjoys hiking, swimming in the river, and taking photos. She also loves hanging out with her dog, Scout, who just so happens to also love hiking, swimming in the river, and getting his picture taken.
Jennifer, Veterinary Technician
Jenn has 10 years of experience in the veterinary field and joined our team in February 2018 after working in an emergency veterinary hospital. She has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Women's and Gender Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
At home, Jenn has a Border Collie/GSD mix, Adelaide, and a one-eyed DSH, Hank. She enjoys aerial hoop, making paper flowers, and clicker training her pets to do fun tricks.
Andrea, Veterinary Technician
Andrea joined our team in 2018. She has extensive experience working with animals, including volunteering at shelters and working at a boarding facility.
At home, Andrea has Paisley, a chihuahua mix , Presley, a Jack Russell mix, and Brynnley, a German Shepard mix. She enjoys hiking, canoeing, biking, cooking, and reading.
Gabe, Veterinary Technician
Gabe joined our team as a licensed veterinary technician in March 2020. He has an A.S. degree in Veterinary Technology from Windward Community College in Hawaii and five years of veterinary experience. As a military spouse, Gabe recently moved to Texas from Alaska, where he developed skills in preventive care, hospital care, surgery, and dentistry.
At home, Gabe has two dogs: Bug, an American Pitbull Terrier, and Mowgli, an Italian Greyhound.
Mikael, Kennel Technician
Mikael cares for all of our boarding and hospitalized patients. She studied at Odessa College in West Texas before transferring to Texas State University to study Animal Science. Mikael plans to attend graduate school and/or veterinary school in the future.
In her spare time, Mikael enjoys doing makeup, painting, and photography. She has two dogs: Bevo, a terrier mix, and Dragon, a dachshund.
Lauren, Kennel Technician
Lauren cares for all of our boarding and hospitalized patients. She is currently studying Animal Science at Texas State University with the goal of becoming an animal control officer.
In her spare time, Lauren enjoys fishing, writing, video games, and weight lifting.
