When you have to be away for a vacation, a short trip, or just for the day, we are here to take care of your pet. Our boarding facilities are indoors and climate controlled. We also offer additional services such as baths, nail trims, and extra playtime for all our boarders.
Bigger dogs stay in runs or large cages, while small dogs and cats stay in cages in a separate room. Dogs are taken out at least three times daily to one of our two covered outdoor yards for playtime and exercise.
Boarding reservations should be made prior to drop-off to ensure a spot for your pet. At check-in, a staff member will ask for an emergency contact person, your pet's feeding instructions, health concerns, medication instructions, grooming options and any other special requirements you or your pet may have. This ensures the proper care of your pet during his/her visit.
Pets are fed Royal Canin Gastro-intestinal dry food, a sensitive stomach diet. If you prefer, you may provide your pet's individual diet as well as a familiar toy or blanket.
Caged pets (birds, rabbits, etc.) need to be brought in their regular cages along with their regular food.
Pet Boarding Requirements
For your pet's protection, the following vaccines are required:
Dogs: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella
Cats: Rabies, Feline Distemper (FVRCP)
If your pet is overdue for any required vaccines, one of our veterinarians can update the necessary vaccines during your pet's stay.
We now have a cat room!
Our feline friends now have a special place to exercise during their boarding visit. The cat room offers plenty of exercise options and a great view of the outdoors!
Springtown Veterinary Hospital offers our clients limited grooming in our facility, such as bathing, brushing, anal sac expressions, shaves, and nail trims. We also recommend some very talented local, full-service groomers:
